Jack R. Shultz has more than 30
years of public relations and corporate affairs experience with AT&T.
Until his retirement, he served as public relations vice president for
Europe, the Middle East and Africa, based in Brussels, Belgium. Before
that, he spent 10 years in Atlanta as corporate affairs vice president,
overseeing AT&T’s external relations in 14 Southern states. In earlier
assignments in New York and New Jersey, Shultz held a variety of senior
corporate communications positions, involving media relations, employee
communications and executive communications.
In addition to his work with Tandem Consulting, Shultz is a senior
consultant with Coxe-Curry and Associates, an Atlanta-based fund-raising
firm that provides fund-raising consulting to nonprofit organizations.
Shultz served five years as chairman of the Fulton County (GA) Arts
Council. He also was a member of the boards of the American Council for
the Arts, National Black Arts Festival, Alabama Shakespeare Festival,
and the Alliance Theatre. He currently serves on the board of the
Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund, Theater of the Stars, Southern Arts
Federation, John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina, and the
Foxfire Fund.
In addition, Shultz chaired the board of the Southern Center for
International Studies, and he has served on governing or advisory boards
for the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Carter Center, and the Midtown
Alliance. He also was a member of the Society of International Business
Fellows.
