In everything it does, Tandem begins with an assessment to determine the current reality: what is working, what is not, and why. The consultants look at an organization’s strengths and weaknesses, best practices in use within the field, and what peers are doing.

Tandem conducts environmental scans through benchmarking, interviewing, materials research and news media searches. It also employs the use of facilitated retreats to gather and share information.

As its name implies, Tandem Consulting works in tandem—not only with its clients, but also with a network of allied resources as needed, such as firms engaged in dedicated research and others that provide specialized services.

Importantly, Tandem’s role is not to provide answers, but to guide clients to find solutions that work for them. The firm employs a collaborative process with its clients to achieve team results.
